The Grignolino d'Asti grapes ripe for a long time on the plant and its wine is produced in purity. Barbera d'Asti Superiore is produced with the best Barbera Della Cascina Valeggia grapes. The strains of Barbera, cultivated in vineyard with an exceptional exposure and in a very poor white soil, produce very few bunches of grapes. The resulting product is a wine of an intense ruby color and purple reflections, with the scent of ripe cherry followed by spicy notes and berries. The taste is ample and it has a good body and persistence.
