Langhe Nebbiolo "Ginestrino" DOC 2019

The Ghemme Riserva Pelizzane is a fantastic CRU, grown on a hectare of excellence! This portion of the vineyard has the best exposure of the entire vineyard but, in addition, the grapes are thinned, harvested, vinified and aged separately.

Exposure to the west and the clay soil give the Ghemme a unique complexity and elegance,  characteristics that reflect the level of experience in winemaking of Torraccia del Piantavigna.

The color is a ruby with orange reflections, the nose stands out the violet with hints of licorice and the palate is full-bodied with soft tannins.

A garnet red color wine with an intense scent and complex aromas, that remind blackberries, licorice and spices, with a full and rich flavor in the mouth and fine and aromatic tannins.

Ghemme 2005 is a vintage wine that follows and highlights what was announced in 2004: important structure and aromas that evolve and grow continuously. 

On the nose, it has spicy hints supported by a slight vanilla that does not dominate the aromas of Nebbiolo.

In the mouth pervades a sense of balance as only a Nebbiolo of Alto Piemonte can express.

An intense ruby red wine tending to garnet with aging. Fruity and herbaceous aromas, with notes of ripe cherry. In the mouth it is full, intense, with a strong acidity and a finish of good persistence.

The hills of Gattinara cover very few hectares and are among the most evocative in Italy with small historic vineyards set on steep hills.

The vineyards are difficult to work and the almost entirely manual cultivation give an additional value to this fantastic wine. In addition to this, however, the main feature that makes Gattinara unique is the composition of volcanic soil.

The color is ruby red with orange reflections, the scent is reminiscent of purple and the palate is dry and with a bitter bottom.

Nebbiolo is a grape that particularly loves these characteristics, this gives the wine a certain austerity, vigorous tannins, but at the same time a great character and complexity.

Sweet floral notes open the olfactory, that continues on flavors of ripe red pulp fruits, to allow the perception of precious tertiary nuances of tobacco, mint and pepper. On the palate, it is balanced and silky, characterized by a tannic texture that support the wine for many more years. The finish is long and tasty. A wine suitable for a formal dinner.

The Barolo 'Castelletto Vigna Pressenda di Conterno Fantino' is a prestigious red wine that comes from one of the oldest and most famous wineries in Piedmont. To the eyes it has a deep garnet red color, while to the nose develops a wide and complex bouquet, with floral and fruity hints, with notes of blackberries, berries and dog rose. In the mouth it is austere, broad and round, with important tannins.

The Ghemme DOCG is grown in an area with just over 60 hectares of vineyards of great value. The position of the vineyards, the great temperature variations due to the influence of Monte Rosa give this grape an elegant and complex aromatic variability.

Ghemme is a ruby red wine with hints of orange. On the nose is intense and fine with hints of violet and licorice. On the palate has a full taste, rich, unique also thanks to the clay soil and the exposure to the West of the hills.

A wine with a strong personality, full-bodied and dry, that is suitable for meat and fish dishes such as soups. The Grignolino d'Asti grapes ripe for a long time on the plant and its wine is produced in purity. It has a soft ruby red color, a delicate aroma with fruity notes of undergrowth and a taste that is austere, refined and dry, thanks to the presence of tannins.

A dark garnet red wine, full-bodied. On the olfactory analysis this wine is very elegant and pleasing, has a warm nose with toasted hints dominated by aromas of leather, barley, coffee and strawberry jam. In the mouth it is soft and warm, thanks to sweet tannins.

Ghemme 2001 is an important example of an unusual vintage that however retains all the character of a great wine. On the nose has persistent notes of leather and tobacco while on the palate is soft and enveloping with a certain dose of flavor and a nice note of acidity.

This Ghemme brings back in the field of "vintage" characteristics: it is a wine that has been resting for more than twenty years, ideal for those looking for special tastes and is not satisfied to drink a classic full-bodied wine.
